Mission

The Madrassa aims to serve as a consistent source of education for present and future youth by providing an environment that embodies Islamic ideals and promotes the learning and understanding of the Qur’an and Sunnah.

Vision

Our vision is to develop children’s love of learning and understanding Islam. We would like them to feel proud to be identified as Muslims and promote them to become contributing members of the society. Our approach to “Islamic” studies offers children, a way to relate Islam to the world around them and assimilate Islam to their daily lives.

Program

  • Quran (Recitation with focus on Qirat & Tajweed): The Qur’an portion of the curriculum focuses on memorization of ayahs and surahs form the Qur’an, as well as, helping the students to gain a better understanding of the ayahs and surahs. In addition, there is an Advanced Qur’an Class for students that excel in the subject and a Special Qur’an Class for students that require more attention in learning the subject.
  • Salah (Memorization & Translation): Here the students are grouped by gender trained them according to gender needs. They are taught how to concentrate while praying and lead prayers.
  • Seerah & Deen: The Deen portion of the curriculum focuses on day to day application of Islam, particularly concepts addressed in Fiqh and Sunnah. The Seerah portion of the curriculum deals specifically with the stories of the life of The Prophet (SAW) and his companions (RA). Aside from Qur’an placement, students are place according to age.

Curriculum

Grading: The Madrassa’s grading policy is as follows: A= 90% – 100% B= 80% – 89% C= 70% – 79% D= 60% – 69% F = 59% and below I = Incomplete. Students who receive a failing grade in either Islamic Studies will be required to repeat the entire grade until he/she attains a passing grade. …
